3rd Speaker: Yan Cheng

Thank you Hui Juan for enlightening us on that issue. Now I will address you on the rationale on the first two strategies that Hui Juan has mentioned awhile before.

1ST Strategy: Magic PP

The first strategy is the Magic PP which is implemented in stage 1 of our flowchart.

REFER TO FLOWCHART

The Magic PP is separated into two different platforms and they share common objectives.

There are two main objectives for this strategy.

The first objective aims to capture instantaneous thoughts and inspirations that many people lose.

Have you ever experienced a time where a sudden inspiration, a wonderful idea came to you while you are unable to take it down?

Then against your own free will, it just disappeared from your brain like a delete button was there and it never came back?

Therefore we aim to use our first platform to help people hold on to their inspirations and thoughts

The second objective aims to allow the different age groups the freedom to doodle on any surfaces.

Why doodle of all things?

Doodles are simple drawings that can have concrete representational meaning or may just be abstract shapes when one is unfocused

It is also special to children because they can only draw to express themselves.

Hence we think that it is this special feature that we want to promote through our second platform.

Magic pp tablet

The first platform is the Magic PP Tablet.

It is a pen-able pc tablet without a keyboard but only with a clip pen.

It allows doodling any thoughts on the screen and one can print their work instantly with the function similar to the Polaroid camera on the pc tablet itself.

REFER SLIDE ON THE TABLE.

Magic pp kids

The second platform is the Magic PP Kids which consist of a magic ink pen and a magic ink absorbent paper.

One can write using the magic ink pen on any surface one desires and then use the absorbent paper to absorb the ink onto the paper.

REFER SLIDE ON THE TABLE HIGHLIGHT FIRST STAGE

Not only is this applicable to children, adults can also use this in their daily life.

In fact, adults can use it even more effectively than children if they know how.

Here’s an example...

Imagine...

Imagine that you are cooking in the kitchen, trying out new dishes.

Then suddenly you came up with this brilliant dish that you just thought of but you only got a pen but no paper.

So how are you going to share this awesome recipe with your dear friends and family?
No worries!

Just use our Magic PP ink pen and doodle on the kitchen table or the kitchen wall.

Once you have finish cooking, just wet the Magic paper and paste it over your words.

Wait for 15 minutes and TA-DA!

Your recipe will then be transferred onto your paper and you would have no worries of being unable to send this recipe to your friends or family.

The effectiveness of Magic PP

-The Magic PP Tablet helps the adults in adapting to using less electronic devices for their letter writing.

- Eventually, adults will find that doing away with computerised writing programmes will increase the spontaneity to doodle and write.

- For Magic PP Kids, children learning how to write would explore new ways of expressing themselves, such as the doodling of pictures and diagrams instead of words.

-Since they tend to draw more often than write, our strategy fulfils their needs

Thus this strategy will work well with both adults and children, allowing them to develop interest in writing.

Origami letter

Origami letter is the strategy that is implemented in stage 2

REFER SLIDE ON THE TABLE HIGHLIGHT SECOND STAGE

Our objectives are to

-develop the interest of writing in the different age group and rekindle the passion of writing in people.

Origami letter is just like any other form of letter just that it has the elements of an aerogramme and origami fused together.

(Show pictures of Origami Letters and explain the features)

These are some examples of our Origami Letters.

As you can see from the picture, one will write their thoughts inside those dotted lines spaces.

After they are done, they will fold the origami paper into the shape that it was meant to be. (Finished origami)

In the picture you see, one can then write short notes on the spaces provided. Here are some other samples of our Origami Letter.

Origami Letters would be effective because

-This product is targeted mostly at origami lovers, children and teenagers.

-As children and teenagers are more into innovative things, this idea of folding your own origami and writing short messages for their friends inside the origami may be fun and surprising for them

-Origami can also be used as a tool to express ourselves

-and can also be kept as souvenirs or memories in the long run

At a higher level, origami letter is no longer just a simple letter sent to your friends.

It has the potential to be a tool for charity organizations to ask for donations.

Instead of celebrities asking for your donations on television using their fame, wouldn’t it be more sincere to have origami letters folded personally by those in need to ask for your kind donations?

Now, I’ll pass the stage to our final speaker Michelle and she will continue on the last 2 strategies and give an overall conclusion of this presentation.Michelle please.
